Hurricane Maria aftermath: Puerto Rico rainforest destroyed (360 video)

When Hurricane Maria roared ashore as a category 4 storm in Puerto Rico, the dense tropical vegetation in the El Yunque Rainforest was shredded and massive trees were toppled. El Yunque is the only tropical train forest in the U.S. national park system, and will be closed to the public for at least several months until all safety concerns are alleviated.

A team from AccuWeather visits Puerto Rico for the #RaysofHope initiative, delivering aid to the remote town of Patillas, one of the worst hit communities by the hurricane.
