Weather today – IDAHO and CALIFORNIA: Melting snow floods NW, Heavy rains in LA

An unseasonal warm spell causes vast melting snows brought widespread floods across Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Hardest hit was Idaho with major cities almost 90% underwater and more than 4,000 people have had to abandon their homes entirely. LA also suffers heavy water damage after a torrential 6-day rain, totaling more than 8 inches. Mudslides and landslides also resulted from these heavy rains. Date: 02/15/1962
